The Sanctuary is our care home for adults with disabilities who have grown up in institutions.

The Sanctuary is a very important project for those who have grown up in institutions. They come to us and learn life and social lessons that they didn’t receive whilst growing up institutions. They then either go and live an independent life outside of the Sanctuary or they call the Sanctuary their forever home.

For us to ensure that we can provide the services given at the Sanctuary to as many people as possible and for as long as possible, we need to make sure it is as self-sustainable as possible.’

This fundraising event is about raising the funds for a solar panel system for the Sanctuary. Love Light Romania will be installing the first section of the solar panel system in July and the money raised on this campaign will be to add more panels so that they can produce more electricity. The money saved on electricity bills can then go into other parts of the project such as human resources or activities.
